About

Yuexuan is a composer, improviser, entrepreneur, and community music practitioner who studied Music at the University of Oxford and is now pursuing an MA in Psychology at New York University, focusing on the social and consumer track.

Yuexuan's journey is a diverse one. From electronic to acoustic compositions, her current creative interest is in working with concrete sounds. Her compositions, ranging from installation to ensemble pieces, have graced various venues, from the Sheldonian Theatre to Central Saint Martins' open gallery. As a free improviser and singer, she has shared the stage with artists like Matmos and Katie Melua.

The intersection of her interests and experiences in Music and Psychology has led her to become the Chief Creative Officer of Soulchord, a music-for-mental-well-being start-up. She also enjoys participating in and leading community music events.
